Stepping Stones Foundation
Stepping Stones Foundation

Christina Bynum-Breax is the founder of Steppings Stones Foundation in Keller. Stepping Stones Foundation remains dedicated to helping those in need in North Texas. What began in 2009 as a grassroots effort by one woman, Christina Bynum-Breaux to feed, clothe and mentor over 150 children in a local trailer park, has grown into a full-fledged foundation that has provided programming and support to thousands of children and their families.

Stepping Stones Foundation has worked hard to create awareness in the community and establish relationships with Child Protective Services, school intervention counselors and local law enforcement to refer children in need. As we meet these elementary, middle or high-school children, we perform a needs assessment, and resources or services are provided based upon availability.

How to Keep Your Brain Young and Healthy
How to Keep Your Brain Young and Healthy

You know you need to eat right and exercise to keep your body healthy, but as you age, it’s even more important to keep your brain healthy than it is to build biceps or lose love handles.

For many older people who may be experiencing a decline in their mental and/or physical abilities, a program of long-term brain health training may improve their quality of life. And the need is pressing - according to Dave Parks, President of Home Care Assistance of Fort Worth, someone is diagnosed with some form of dementia every three seconds.

In his talk, “How to Keep Your Brain Young and Healthy," Dave will share with your members:

  • How to know when a “Senior Moment “ is something more serious
  • The role diet, exercise and social interaction play in keeping sharp
  • Common myths about aging and brain health
