A trauma center is a hospital that provides comprehensive medical care to patients who suffer traumatic illnesses such as motor vehicle crashes, acts of violence, falls and the like. The disease of trauma requires many specialty services to provide the best care in order to give the patient the highest outcomes and survivability rates.
