Myths of Estate Planning

Apr. 15, 2025

Jocelyn began her legal career at the tender age of six when she started going with her mother to her job as a paralegal. Growing up, Jocelyn occasionally attended law school classes with her mother and regularly helped around her mother's law office. Jocelyn has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since May of 2016. She received a Juris Doctorate in 2015 from Texas A&M School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2012 from the University of North Texas. After getting licensed, Jocelyn and her mother, Lorraine, decided to form The Irby Law Firm, PLLC. Prior to this collaboration, Jocelyn spent 3 years in the corporate world working in the general counsel's office at a bank. While working on her Bachelors, Jocelyn worked as a receptionist and administrative assistant at a law firm focusing on Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, Oil & Gas, and civil litigation. Jocelyn's practice focuses primarily on Estate Planning and Probate.
