Our Annual 4-Way speech contest results!

Again this year, Keller Rotary sponsored the 4 Way Speech contest on February 25th at Sky Creek Ranch.  The contest was open to all students in the KISD footprint and the district truly believes that introducing young people to the values of the 4 Way Test may influence moral and ethical behavior in generations to come.   The specific goals of the contest are:
  1. To acquaint a large number of youth with Rotary and the Four-Way Test.
  2. To demonstrate and enhance Rotary's commitment to youth.
  3. To heighten awareness of Rotary among youth, parents, schools, and community.
  4. To recognize, encourage, and reward hard work and accomplishment among youth.
All four KISD high schools were contacted as in past years.  Both Central and Timber Creek high schools accepted the invitation but only the Timber Creek students could participate on the date of the contest.  The four students from Timber Creek that participated were, Kendall Carter, Sydney Banks, Russell White and Sarah Davidson.  For the second straight year, Russell White was the winner of the contest and will compete at the regional contest in Weatherford on April, 5th.  Last year, Russell not only won the Keller club competition but also won the regional competition as well and was able to participate in the district competition.  Congratulations and Good luck to Russell this year!
